You would never have guessed from this picture that just minutes before he was screaming and blood was streaming down his face...

Drey got his first ever shiner last week. This picture doesn't really show it very well, but it's on his left eye. He was playing down by our tv and just happened to lose his balance and hit his eye on our entertainment center. Poor kid! I thought he might need stitches, but when everything calmed down and we got it all cleaned up, it really wasn't as bad as I thought.

I just couldn't get over how cute he smiled for me in this picture. He never does this!!!

How To Play:

1. Turn on Thomas and place under the couch.


2. Run around to the other side of couch and watch for Thomas.

3. Pick up Thomas and repeat steps 1 & 2.

Snow, Snow, Come Out In The Snow!

Jena has been begging to play in the snow and make a snowman for forever...and I just kept putting it off. "Not right now." "Maybe tomorrow." Let's face it- I don't like to be out in the snow. And my kids are too little to send out to play by themselves so that means that I have to go with them. So, when it snowed this weekend, my wonderful husband took the kids out to play. I was so happy that they finally got to go out and play and I was so appreciative to Kevin for playing with them.

Making snow angels

What better place to make a snow angel than on the driveway??? (definitely not my first choice, but whatever.)

After I had my "fun" in the snow taking pictures, I went in the house and watched from the window. I watched for a little while and Drey did not move from this spot. He didn't care about anything except EATING the snow.

Good buddies

Jena and Drey are good little buddies, most of the time. Of course, we have our days when one or the other is driving the other one crazy, but for the most part, they play really well together. Drey will do almost anything Jena tells him. I walked in on this picture yesterday. Jena is putting Drey down for a nap. Do you see where? Yes, in the doll bunkbeds.

A Sunbeam...A Sunbeam...

I can't believe that my Jena is big enough to go to Sunbeams. She has been really excited about it, but when the day finally came, she was really nervous. She was worried that "she wouldn't know any of the songs they sing in big primary and wouldn't know anybody's name." After a few tears and then "fun songs" (you know, the ones that you get to wiggle and do actions) she decided it was OK and she loved the rest of it.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. I think Christmas is the best with kids. I love seeing how happy and excited they are about Santa and all the presents he leaves. It makes all the work up to Christmas totally worth it. My Helper

Drey helped me unload the dishwasher tonight and thought everything ought to go in the silverware drawer. What a good helper!
